How to carry out daily maintenance and maintenance of automatic sandblasting machine?
[2024-12-31]

Daily maintenance of automatic sandblasting machine is the key to ensure the normal operation of equipment, prolong service life and ensure sandblasting quality. The following are specific maintenance and maintenance measures:

First, the equipment appearance and surrounding environment

Cleaning equipment surface

After each use, the surface of the equipment should be wiped with a clean rag to remove the attached dust, sand and other sundries. For the shell of sandblasting machine, the walls, doors and windows of sandblasting room and other parts, regular cleaning can prevent dust and sand particles from entering the equipment and affecting its performance.

For stubborn stains, you can use an appropriate cleaner to wipe them, but avoid using a strong corrosive cleaner that may damage the surface coating of the equipment. For example, for a sandblasting machine with a metal shell, you can use a mild metal cleaner, then rinse it with clear water and dry it.

Clean up the surrounding environment

Keep the work area around the equipment clean and tidy, and clean the sand and waste on the ground in time. This can not only prevent sand particles from being sucked into the equipment again, but also prevent the operator from slipping and being injured.

Regularly check whether there is any leaking sand or liquid (such as lubricating oil) around the equipment. If it is found, it should be cleaned up in time, find out the reason and take corresponding repair measures.

Second, the sand system maintenance

Sand supplement and screening

Regularly check the surplus of sand, and when the sand is insufficient, it should be replenished in time. When replenishing sand, it is necessary to ensure that the quality of sand meets the equipment requirements, for example, the size, shape and hardness of sand particles should match the sandblasting parameters of the sandblasting machine.

Screen the sand material to remove impurities, too large or too small sand particles. Impurities may block the sand valve or sand blasting gun and affect the sand blasting effect; Excessive sand particles may lead to increased wear of the sand blasting gun, while too small sand particles may make the sand blasting pressure unstable. Special sand screening equipment, such as vibrating screen, can be used to screen sand regularly.

Inspection of sand conveying system

Check whether the sand conveying pipeline is unblocked and blocked. It can be judged by observing the transportation of sand or tapping the pipeline with a tool. If the pipeline is blocked, the equipment should be stopped immediately and dredging measures should be taken, such as blowing the pipeline with compressed air.

Check the working status of the sand delivery pump (if any), including whether the motor of the pump is running normally and whether the pump body is leaking. Lubricate and maintain the pump regularly, and change the lubricating oil according to the requirements of the equipment manufacturer to ensure the good performance of the pump.

Third, the sand blasting gun maintenance

Check the abrasion of sandblasting gun.

Regularly check the abrasion of the nozzle, gun body and internal parts of the sandblasting gun. The nozzle is the most easily worn part. When the inner diameter of the nozzle is worn beyond a certain limit (such as 10%-15% of the original inner diameter), the shape and pressure of sandblasting will be affected and it needs to be replaced in time.

For the gun body and internal parts, if there are traces of sand wear or other damage, they should be repaired or replaced in time. Worn sandblasting guns may lead to uneven sandblasting, reducing work efficiency and sandblasting quality.

Cleaning sand blasting gun

After each use, the sandblasting gun should be thoroughly cleaned. Dismantle the sandblasting gun (according to the operating instructions of the equipment manufacturer to avoid damaging the parts), use clean compressed air to purge the sand particles and residues in the gun body, then use special cleaning agent to clean the parts, and finally dry them with a clean cloth or blow dry them with compressed air and reassemble them.

Fourth, the transportation system maintenance

Inspection of workpiece conveying device

For crawler, roller or suspended workpiece conveying devices, check the working condition of conveyor belt, roller or chain. Check for looseness, wear or breakage. For example, if the crawler belt of crawler conveyor is loose, it may lead to unstable workpiece transportation, so it is necessary to adjust the tension of the crawler belt in time.

Check the driving motor and transmission parts of the conveying device, such as reducer and coupling. Ensure that the motor runs normally and the transmission parts are well lubricated. Lubricate the transmission parts regularly, and replace the lubricating oil or grease according to the requirements of the equipment manufacturer.

Adjustment of conveying speed and angle (if applicable)

According to the actual working situation, check and adjust the conveying speed and angle of the workpiece regularly. If it is found that the workpiece cannot be evenly sandblasted during transportation, it may be that the transportation speed is too fast or the transportation angle is not suitable, and it needs to be adjusted. For example, for some workpieces with complex shapes, it may be necessary to slow down the conveying speed or adjust the conveying angle, so that all parts of the workpiece can be fully sandblasted.

V. Maintenance of dust removal system

Cleaning dust collector

Regularly clean the dust and accumulated dust inside the dust collector. For the bag filter, check the blockage of the bag regularly. When the resistance of the bag increases (such as exceeding the set value of 1500-2000Pa), clean or replace the bag in time.

For cyclone dust collectors, the dust hopper at the bottom should be cleaned to prevent excessive dust accumulation from affecting the dust removal effect. When cleaning up the accumulated dust, the equipment should be turned off first to ensure the operation under safe conditions.

Check the fans and pipes.

Check the working state of the dust removal fan, including the motor, impeller and bearing of the fan. Ensure that the fan runs smoothly without abnormal vibration and noise. Lubricate the fan bearing regularly to prolong the service life of the fan.

Check the dust removal pipeline for leakage or blockage. Leakage will reduce the dust removal effect, and blockage will increase the load of the fan and affect the normal operation of the equipment. You can judge whether there is leakage or blockage by observing the sealing condition at the joint of the pipeline and touching the surface temperature of the pipeline with your hand.
