2. What is sandblasting?

3. Main application scope and function of sand blasting?

（1） Before coating and bonding, sandblasting can remove all the dirt on the surface of the workpiece, and establish a very important basic schema (i.e. the so-called rough surface) on the surface of the workpiece. Moreover, it can achieve different degrees of roughness by changing the abrasives with different particle sizes, and greatly improve the binding force between the workpiece and the coating and plating materials. Or it can make the bonding part more firm and the quality is better.

（2） The cleaning and polishing of rough surface and workpiece after heat treatment can clean all the dirt (such as oxide scale, oil stain and other residues) on the surface of casting and forging and heat treatment, and polish the surface of the workpiece to improve the smoothness of the workpiece, so that the workpiece can show uniform and consistent metal color, make the surface of the workpiece more beautiful, and achieve the role of beautification and decoration.

（3） The burr cleaning and surface beautification of machined parts can remove the tiny burr on the surface of the workpiece, make the surface of the workpiece smoother, eliminate the harm of the burr, and improve the quality of the workpiece. And sandblasting can make a small fillet at the junction of the workpiece surface, making the workpiece more beautiful and more precise.

（4） To improve the mechanical properties of mechanical parts, after sandblasting, uniform and fine concave convex surface (basic schema) can be produced on the surface of the parts, so that the lubricating oil can be stored, so that the lubrication conditions can be improved, the noise can be reduced and the service life of the machine can be improved.

（5） Polishing effect for some special purpose workpieces, sandblasting can achieve different reflection or sub light at will. Such as stainless steel workpieces, wooden furniture surface Matt, frosted glass surface pattern, and fabric surface texturing processing.

4. Sand blasting features: not only can play a role in rust prevention, but the appearance can be used as decorative surface!!

The effect of metal sandblasting is gray white. The principle is to spray the mixture of emery and water on the metal surface with high-pressure air, which makes the metal surface impact many very small depressions. Because the metal is generally subject to heat treatment before sandblasting, the hardness is relatively high, and there will be no deep depression, so the metal surface is gray white.
